21 h 00 - first of all to dance.

21 h 15 - begins.

Budget wedding warned of the week: Kimmy & Dan

Sorry for the intermittent blog silences the past weeks, folks. Things were a little crazy at the Casa de Budget Savvy. I will inform you more about in the section life soon. I am happy to come back today with a marriage of December in the lovely South Carolina who have had in my bit and need to feature waiting list until we get mode all-out summer! We had a budget of $8,000 that my parents have us graciously. That gave us want to be even wiser with our money. We were more than some, but he was able to stick to this budget so closely! A general breakdown:

$2,700 on photography

$2100 on place

$2000 for the services of catering, florals, decorations and rentals

$400 ($520) for the wedding dress, $220 for alterations

$200 on the favour of coffee from our guest

$250 on invitations, programs, and children's books

We had approximately 125 guests for our big enough day.

We liked add personal touches throughout our wedding weekend. Us handmade all our invitations, programs, books for children activities and coffee fosters for our guests. I was also wearing some very special items that I brought back living in North Africa, such as my earrings and shoes of marriage. Wear these elements reminds me of my gentle friends who I wanted to be at our wedding, but that could not be because of the distance. Our reception was a little different. We have chosen with a coffee bar and dessert and extinguish our guests to play games. Desserts that we chose were important to us, such as the King of the cake which reminded me my time in New Orleans. We wanted a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere that we would spend time with our friends and family and also give them a chance to mingle and have fun together. My bridesmaid, who currently lives in New Orleans, also made a number of things from there to do it is a special day. Which the beads of love, boas and masks? It was very fun to use those in our first dance and that we left the marriage. My Bridal luncheon was also different than the traditional "Bridal luncheon." I have been able to treat all my gals and a few special ladies with a morning of pottery of the painting, which has lots of fun!

Set us priorities and objectives from the outset and revisited often we planned our marriage. We decided to that convenience would be in the photograph and on the site. We also decided on the look we wanted, and set out to find ways to make that happen for "less". We asked our families to pitch and help with the personal touch that we have added to the marriage, which reduces many costs. The greatest thing that we have done to save money was to bring together all our printed elements and many of our decorations. We had our invitations printed in a local printing, and then we have assembled to them. We knew from the beginning that stationary and invitations could get expensive and only used to this day and then discarded. We define the beginning to create and gather our invitations and programs as a cheap as possible, yet still classy. Who saved us lots of money! We have our decorations by buying small table black and colour and develop a Fleur-de-lis applies on them to match our stationary and wedding invitations. We've also locally - shopped with friends and local suppliers to help us implement our big day. We borrowed the burlap and lanterns (which are identical to the lanterns you can get in my North African home!) of my friend who was married this summer.

We had only about four months planning our wedding - which was ample time. There will always be details of work on no matter how long you have your marriage. Ask the help of family and friends. Make it personal! Add things that are a symbol for you and your hubby! You remember constantly that the day of your wedding, "you are going to marry!" and that is all that matters. Your wedding day is a really important day, it's just that - a day. Marriage is more important than marriage, and we decided to focus on our marriage, not only marriage.

We splurged in two areas: our photographer and our site. These two things are crucial to what we wanted - a special place which could be "us" and a photographer who was talented and creative and that could capture our day long after food was consumed, bu coffee and the dress store!

Our café-bar and coffee favors were our favorite part! We have two LOVE coffee and wanted to include that nowadays rather large. We spent many nights together on coffee sippine dates and could not imagine not having coffee and our love for coffee day. We had our friend Amy, a former Starbucks Barista, here to help! It made us special coffee for our first drink drinks. We had several flavors of locally roasted coffee and creamer. Our favors were jute bags handmade with coffee - which we love to give to all of our family and friends!

See Dan and spending someone on once with him before the marriage ceremony was hands-down my favorite moment. Our "first look" was super intimate and calm my nerves and reminded me just to breathe and to focus on us during the day. We were able to speak and to have a conversation without the person not interrupt us or us firing the thing "next". It gives us also some time to pray together before our ceremony. He gave some amazing photos to our photographer and it saved a lot of time after the ceremony for the images, which made all our guests happy!

Well ladies, our current class of the bloggers of the flange is almost finished with their marriages, it was time to recruiting a new class! We are seeking five wives warned of budget who are currently planning their marriages to blog and share their experiences, advice, and projects of DIY with the community here in BSB.
